Barcode Creator

This is designed to work with Symphony barcodes: a star at either end of the barcode is automatically inserted. No letters can be encoded to barcode: non-numeric characters will be ignored in the barcode.

The printout sometimes looks perfect but for an unknown reason the barcode reader fails to read the barcodes. This happens in Internet Explorer: everything works but the resulting printout is useless.

PLEASE USE WITH THE CHROME BROWSER*, PARTICULARLY WHEN IT COMES TO PRINTING FOR SCANNING WITH A BARCODE READER!!!

Paste in the barcodes and numbers from the excel spreadsheet, copy 1 column by selecting vertically down with the mouse. Then paste into the box here and press the button at the bottom. You can also copy multiple columns**. The barcodes will be in the same order as they were pasted. Barcodes may also be entered directly in with a hard return between each number. If using a barcode reader the hard return happens automatically.

Do you want a label above the barcode (eg room number)?
On the same line as the barcode number, put in a dash ("-") [in the case of pasting from excel a tab mark will be placed between the data from different columns; this will also work, with any number of columns]. The label will be whatever text there is after the dash or first tab mark.

*Or Chrome-based. eg Opera or the Chrome-based Edge.
Firefox may work. Definately NOT IE.

** Multiple columns will be separated by a tab.
if the data is pasted straight into the box.
If the data is multiple columns:
   1) the first column needs to be the barcodes
   2) all subsequent columns will be put at the top
of the barcode to make a label.
Sample data:
     12345 [tab] Room 1
     23456 [tab] Room 2
     etc...
If you are directly typing into the box, enter for a new line, use dash
('-') instead of tab.
